Sell your device

Sell your device

Turn unused tech into value.

Tell us about your laptop or device. We'll review the details and send you a provisional valuation, then confirm the final valuation once we've inspected and tested the device.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your device

The brand, model and specification, as far as you know them.

  2. Share its condition

Marks, faults, battery and whether the charger is included. Honest detail helps us give you a useful answer.

  3. We send a provisional valuation

Based on the details you give us. It's an estimate, not an offer to buy, and it's valid for 7 days.

  4. Send it in for inspection

If you'd like to go ahead, we confirm the final valuation after checking and testing the device. You can accept or decline.

Anything that doesn't work as it should. Telling us upfront helps.

Scratches, dents, worn keys, or anything else we should know. Selling several devices? List them here.

This helps us understand your expectations. It isn't an agreed price.

Photos can't be uploaded through this form. If we need them, we'll ask you to reply to our email with a few pictures. We'll ask for the serial number later, before you send the device.

Questions

What devices can I submit?

Laptops are our main focus, including MacBooks and Windows laptops from brands such as Dell, Lenovo, HP and Microsoft. If you have something else, tell us about it and we'll let you know whether we can help.

Do I need the charger?

It helps, but it isn't essential. Let us know whether a charger is included and whether it's the original.

Can I submit a faulty laptop?

Yes, you can tell us about faulty or damaged devices. Please describe the fault as clearly as you can.

How is value assessed?

We look at the model, specification, condition, faults, battery, included accessories and current demand. Every device is reviewed individually, so we don't publish a fixed price list. Any valuation we give before seeing the device is provisional.

Do I have to accept an offer?

No. Sending us your details doesn't commit you to anything, and a provisional valuation isn't a binding offer from either side.

What happens after I submit?

We review your details and contact you using the email or phone number you provide, normally with a provisional valuation. We may ask for photos or more information, such as the serial number, before you send the device.

Can businesses submit multiple devices?

Yes. List the devices and how many you have in the "Marks, wear and other details" box, and we'll get back to you.

How long is a valuation valid?

Initial valuations are valid for 7 days. After that we may need to revalue the device based on current market conditions.

What if the device isn't as described?

If the specification, condition, faults or accessories differ materially from what you told us, we'll send a revised valuation. You can accept it, or decline and ask for the device back. Reasonable return postage may be payable by you in that case, and we'll tell you the cost first.

How and when do I get paid?

Payment is normally made within 1–3 working days after you accept the final valuation and our inspection, testing, ownership checks and payment-detail checks are complete. We only pay the verified seller. Verification issues can delay payment.

How do I send my device?

At the moment you arrange postage yourself. Use a tracked service with insurance that reflects the device's value, package it securely and keep your proof of postage. We'll give you the address when you're ready to send.

Sell Your Device terms

These terms apply when you sell a device to Devices1 Ltd trading as 247Gadgets. They don't affect your legal rights.

1. Provisional valuation

Any valuation we give before receiving your device is provisional. It is based on the information you provide and does not create a binding contract to buy the device. The final valuation is given only after we have received the device, inspected it, verified its specification, carried out ownership and status checks, and tested it.

2. Who can sell

You must be 18 or over. By submitting a device you confirm that you legally own it or are authorised to sell it, and that it is not stolen, subject to outstanding finance, leased, on hire purchase, involved in an insurance claim, or subject to any ownership dispute or third-party claim.

3. Quote validity

Initial valuations are valid for 7 days. After that we may revalue the device based on current market conditions. If a valuation contains an obvious technical or pricing error, we may correct it before you accept the final valuation.

4. Before you send your device

Back up anything you want to keep, then remove your personal data, passwords, activation locks (such as Find My / iCloud, Google or Microsoft accounts) and any other linked accounts. If we can't properly access and test the device, it may be delayed or rejected. We'll ask for the serial number or service tag before you send it.

5. Sending your device to us

At the moment you arrange and pay for postage. Please use a tracked service with insurance appropriate to the device's value, package the device securely, and keep your proof of postage. This does not affect any responsibility we have under applicable law, or for any delivery arrangement we provide.

6. Inspection

When your device arrives we may photograph it, record its serial number or service tag, inspect its condition, verify its specification, test its functions, and check its ownership and finance/lost-or-stolen status where appropriate.

7. Revised valuation

If the device differs materially from your description, for example in specification, condition, damage, missing components, faults or accessories, we may issue a revised valuation. You can accept or reject it. If you reject it, we can return the device to you. Reasonable return postage may be payable by you; we will tell you the cost before sending it.

8. Payment

Payment is normally made within 1–3 working days after you accept the final valuation and our inspection, testing, ownership and status checks, and payment-detail verification are complete. We only pay the verified seller using verified payment details. Verification issues may delay payment.

9. Proof of ownership

We don't ask every seller for proof of purchase. We may ask for reasonable evidence of ownership or identity where it's needed, for example where there is an ownership or finance concern, a fraud-prevention concern, or to verify payment.

10. When we may reject a device

We may reject a device that is counterfeit, suspected stolen, linked to outstanding finance, activation-locked, materially misdescribed, unsafe, excessively damaged, or not economically suitable for us to buy. We'll tell you clearly if we reject a device and explain the next steps.

11. Ownership concerns

If there is a genuine, lawful reason for concern about ownership or fraud, we may pause processing, keep relevant records, and hold the device for a reasonable period while the concern is looked into. We may contact or refer the matter to the relevant authorities and cooperate with them. If a device is confirmed as stolen, counterfeit or unlawfully held, we may refuse payment and follow the law and any instructions from the authorities, rather than returning it to the person who sent it.

12. Transfer of ownership

Once you have accepted the final valuation and payment has been completed, the device becomes the property of Devices1 Ltd trading as 247Gadgets, subject to applicable law and to any unresolved ownership or fraud concerns.

13. Records we keep

Where reasonably necessary, we keep seller details, serial numbers, device photos, valuation records, ownership documents, payment records and correspondence. We use them for valuation, payment, ownership checks, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting and our legal obligations. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
